Does have two opposing bent wire loops facing downward that would've bent upward & over a wooden cover (does not come with cover) to keep in place. Has light red & natural wood tone slats. It measures approximately 12 inches height not including metal handles by 13 1/2 inches height including handles by 18 inches upper outside rim although not perfectly round by bottom underside base is 14 1/2 inches. It is in good vintage condition with light use & wear marks. Does have light age fading of colors. Please see all pictures for more details. Great country farmhouse look!!! If shipping seems pricey it is due to the size of the box being 18 inches by 18 inches by 16 inches as it is a large basket.
