Description: Up for sale is a portrait photo of a Chicago police officer from what I believe is the 1890s-1900s. I had this posted earlier as the 1920s, but after talking with family members because this is a family members' photo, I was wrong on the date. It was taken approximately around the 1890s-1900s. That would make it either the end of the Victorian Era or the beginning of the Edwardian Era. But I know for certain this family member was indeed part of the Chicago Police force. I don't know anything else about the exact year the picture was taken or even what the white hat signifies. I welcome any information anyone may have on this time period picture if you'd like to contact me. I thought this would be a great piece of history to share with collectors. The photo measures 5x7, glossy finish, black and white. This is a reprint. I have this photo up in different sizes and in black and white tone for sale if you'd like to look at those, also. In addition, I have several other vintage photo reprints up for sale that have historical and military themes and subjects if you're interested in looking.
