Vintage True Temper Kelly Works Flint Edge Axewith Damaged Wood Handle (4.42 lbs. Total Weight)The following are my observations and comments, but please reference the pictures and ask questions to make your own assessment. The handle will either need to be repaired and refitted, or replaced. Please note the miss-strike damage to the handle below the head, damage to the end from attempts to refasten the head (there also appears to be a washer embedded in the wood), a split and damage to the butt end from pounding, and dry-out checks throughout the handle. Also note the peen damage to strike end of the axe head.
