Description: You are purchasing an original Sears Turnpike Line tin friction 1964 Thunderbird convertible in excellent overall condition. These were made in Japan and sold through Sears in 1965. The car is made of stamped-steel and is just over 15” in length. There are two dial knobs below the rear bumper. One knob controls the raising and lowering of the side windows, the other knob controls raising and lowering the top. The plastic side windows have no flaws and go up and down properly with the control knob. The convertible top has to be raised and lowered manually. The front axle friction drive motor still operates smoothly with no issues. The sheet metal and original Candy Apple red finish are in absolutely beautiful condition! Aside from one tiny pin dent by the front Thunderbird emblem, the body and paint finish are a 9 out of 10. The front windshield does have a crack, as does the back window of the convertible top and one sunvisor is missing. All of the chrome parts are nice and bright with no flaws. This is an amazingly cool and very detailed 60-year-old tin Thunderbird in great condition!
