Description: Up for auction is a really interesting collectible sterling silver and black enamel box, cigarette box or trinket box. It is made in Siam. Measurements are approximately 4 5/8" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2", and weight 273.9 grams. It is a presentation box from USIS staff to Ted, Rangoon 1953. At that time Ted M.G. Tanen worked for United States Information Services as a Foreign Service Officer. His given name was Mitchell Gurton Tanen, but he used Ted instead. Interesting life. Great collectible.
