Description: This beautiful tapestry throw is 100% Cotton and woven beautifully with fringed edges. The color pallet is blues and greens mostly. The blanket was designed by Betty Mugnier & Betty Crossen. This is vintage and features images of buildings and historical landmarks from North Wildwood, NJ. Wildwood which is the town above Cape May, NJ the furthest most point in the state is a beach town known for it's boardwalk and amusements and rich history of diving horses on the Steel Pier and amazing acts from the 50's and 60's from Frankie Valle to Frank Sinatra. I actually met Tony Bennett on the Steel Pier when I was about 6 or 7. I was far more interested in the chicken in the box who would play the piano if you put in a dime than I was him at the time, but I remember he was very very nice to me and chatted with my aunt and I for quite a while. Some of the things featured on this beautiful blanket are the Borough Hall, The Margaret Mace Hospital, Zaberer's (an awesome restaurant that has been gone for years but we used to celebrate special occasions there - it was soooo good!). The Hereford lighthouse is at the center. City Hall, Morey's Piers, Moore's Inlet and US Coast Guard Station are featured as well. A great piece of history for those who love the Jersey Shore, historical places, or even are looking for unique beach house items. Happy Shopping!
