This squat, bulbous shaped piece has been beautifully decorated with a well executed hand painted Aboriginal design rendered in appealing earthy tones. A striking Aboriginal rock art style design, featuring a lizard set amongst three spear wielding figures, has been inscribed sgraffito style into the surface of the mottled brown glaze, revealing the cream-toned pottery below. Hand painted detailing adds fine definition to the design. This piece was produced as a tourist-ware souvenir piece with the destination "Darwin N.T." inscribed below the design. SIZE: This fabulous Studio Anna vase stands approx 55mms tall and measures 80mms in diameter. CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an inscribed "Studio Anna Australia" mark.
