Description: VINTAGE STEREOVIEW OBSERVATION BALLOON PIERCED BY AMERICAN BULLETS, KEYSTONE This listing is for a vintage stereoview card; marked on bottom: V18923 Observation Balloon fatally pierced by incendiary bullets from American plane. The left edge is marked: Keystone View Company, Manufacturers, Publishers, Copyrighted Underwood & Underwood, Made in U.S.A.; the right edge is marked: Meadville, Pa., New York, N.Y., Chicago, Ill., London, England. The card shows a black & white (sepia tone) real photo image of an aerial view of the observation balloon leaking and a small airplane alongside, etc. The back of the card has brief bio/history; measures approx. 7" BY 3-1/2"; and when packed SECURELY for shipping, it weighs 9 ounces. The piece is in very good condition, images are crisp and clear. Please pay close attention to photos for best description of condition, AND see similar items I have listed, thank you.
