Description: This Vintage Souvenir Burmese Thai Dha-hmyaung Sword Dagger & Wooden Scabbard is in good condition overall but does show expected signs of age, handling and storage. No markings can be found on either the blade or the scabbard but they are very similar in construction to examples produced in Southeast Asian. Many of these blades came into the US after the Vietnam War as soldiers returned home with souvenirs. The blade has a clean sharpened edge and shows expected signs of wear from age. A mild "bend" can be detected just above the ricasso. The blade measures just over 7" in length, total overall length is about 12". The handle is decorated with detailed carving and inlay work and the wood shows a rich grain pattern. The wooden scabbard is in good condition overall but there is a cracked area that exposes the blade. The blade rests in the scabbard loosely and the two pieces make a homogeneous, complimentary pair when together. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and their condition.
