Description: For sale here is a vintage Somso anatomical teaching model of ORANGE OAK BOLETE MUSHROOMS - Leccinum aurantiacum.Made by Somso in Bavaria, Germany We are not sure of the date but know it was before 1989 as it is pre unification ( It has made in West germany on the back). This fantastic model made in SOMSO-Plast® shows the growth stages of Leccinum aurantiacum also known as the orange birch bolete or the red capped scaber stalk.It is considered edible.It is mounted on a green plastic base surrounded by dried moss. SIZEHeight: 17cm Width: 12cmDepth: 12cm CONDITIONMade from high quality SOMSO-Plast® and mounted on a green plastic base.This is a genuine vintage and as with any vintage item there may be signs of wear, whilst the overall condition is excellent there may a few chips and cosmetic marks Obviously this item is not new, it has been used in classrooms so there may be some light cosmetic wear, I have tried to photograph any wear I could see such a flaking paint, cracks or chips so please do check all photos carefully.
