Description: This is a fun piece. I wiped it down once with some tarnish remover just to remove some of the tarnish. It still need more rubbing if a more silver and less tarnished look is desired. The hinge works smoothly and the lid stays open by itself. The glass inserted bowl is really in there. It looks like it has an old rubber seal. I could not remove the glass bowl. See pictures. The bowl has a scratch but is see no cracks and feel no flea bites on lip. It looks like white on clear glass to me. This is heavy. It weighs almost 5# by itself. It sits 12” tall to handle peak. The container is about 6” to top of bowl. And inside bowl measures 6” across. I didn’t see any makers marks but I’ve missed them before when they are tiny. See pictures. Sold as seen. OBS
