Description: Beautiful vintage 8 3/4 inch square stoneware pottery decorative plate with an approx. 3/4 inch raised lip to the edge. Four wild horses run behind a matte glazed low rock ridge set against a glossy deep turquoise blue sky The colors and and craftsmanship are amazing with a high gloss and depth of color to the sky and a combination of both a matte and gloss finish to the four horses and the rock ridge. Dark cocoa brown glaze on the back is incised/signed by hand Mara Mexico 10.In excellent preowned condition. Hand crafted and kiln fired with no glaze wear or scratches. The plate is heavy.. and should or could be displayed using a sturdy metal plate frame.Condition is excellent unused. (there is a very tiny pit of loss to the white clay on the back side due to perhaps a clay stone left in the kiln when fired.) Mentioned for complete accuracy only.
