It has nice shine as it is, it is straight, not bent, clutch back is tight and secure, with no major issues at all. Top features a very high detailed, Art Deco milgrain design that really stands out for such a small pin. It is maker hallmarked on the back with an S in a diamond shape, but I am unfamiliar with that maker. Possibly Swank? It is also hallmarked 14K. We did perform a stone and acid test and it confirms 14K gold. This is a really great, very affordable and wearable piece for those that collect Shriners memorabilia, especially if you're a member!
