Description: Here is a lovely set of Drexel Declaration dining chairs designed by Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart and dated 1963. There is one armchair with three side chairs with a maroon/burgundy fabric that is quite elegant and still in very good condition. The Declaration line is very sought after and really a sculptural masterpiece and a work of art in many ways. There is plenty of history to read about and most serious collectors are very familiar with the line. The design on these walnut chairs is exquisite and the dark, lush fabric is a bit unusual as most that I have seen had a lighter color than these. I do believe they are original to the chair but they could certainly be swapped out if that is your preference. All the chairs are stamped Drexel and one still has the original paper tag. I will list the chairs as local pickup only but will be more than happy to facilitate shipping through someone like uShip at the buyers expense. Thanks for looking.
