Description: Vintage scrapbook from maybe the 1930s or 1940s... some items maybe older. This is an all-paper scrapbook. Approximately 10 3/4" x 15". Front & back cover has the image - Tense Moments of 2 hunting dogs. Cover is worn. This looks to be an elementary school classroom project as the bottom of the pages are marked with names - written by and pictures donated by.... These are stories written by the children. All the pictures have bold colors and are in overall, nice condition. These are mostly glued to the pages - some of the pictures are starting to pull loose on the edges. Lots of pictures of animals - dogs, bears, chickens, 15 small cards of birds by Louis Fuertes - Copyright in US by Church & Dwight Co Inc., fish, bats, roosters, cows, jungle animals, farm animals, cats and kittens, a magazine page cut out - 2 Grandpa's Story - the tale of what happened when a little Cocoa Boy met up with Horatio Hippopotamus and Albert Alligator & How a brave camel with wrinkly knees led three friends into the great big world and found a mysterious tickle that grew into a happy heart- Told and Illustrated by Johnny Gruelle - Uncle Johnny Gruelle at Woman's World, there are 4 heavy paper farm animal pictures - Jerry the friendly donkey, two cunning rabbits, One two three four five sheep and two friends - Dobbins the Horse and Pal the dog - the sheep picture is loose and has a picture of Bess the Quiet Cow on the back - not sure what these are from but the artwork is lovely. There is an embossed print of a pheasant hunter and his dog with the number 4401, and a Jessie Wilcox Smith of a little schoolgirl and a cat. There are 19 pages full and 14 blank pages. Unpacked weight is approximately 1 pound 4 ounces. This will be shipped between cardboard. Local pick up is available. We use recycled packing whenever possible.
