Description: This listing is for a vintage Sargent No. 217 block plane made in New Haven, CT USA. The plane was disassembled, given a light cleaning to check for condition, then reassembled. The plane is in beautiful condition with only normal signs of light use. The japanning is largely intact, the casting is in great condition, and the knob appears sound with no obvious cracks. All this plane really needs is a final bit of honing on the iron to be back in service. Please review all of the photos as they are an important part of the description.
