Description: Vintage WWII Bayonet with Scabbard. The blade is marked 1611 and S238G. There are additional markings on the handle, but I cannot make them out. I do not know much about bayonets, so please view my photos. It was found in a local West Virginia estate that I purchased. The blade is approximately 9 3/4" long. Full bayonet (blade and handle) measures almost 15 1/4" long. The condition is as it's shown in my photos. If you have any specific questions, please message me (I am not sure what to check for to determine the condition). I believe it shows general wear from age and use. It could probably use a cleaning.
