Description: Here is a very nice tea cup and saucer in excellent vintage condition with no wear to gold, pattern is Blue Jay from Royal Albert, made from Bone China. Blue Jay is one of six in the Woodland Series, the series is a set of six different birds. Cup is 2 3/4 inches tall (3 1/8 inches including the handle) X 3 1/2 inches diameter and the saucer is 5 1/2 inches diameter X approx 3/4 inches deep. The Woodland Series was produced from 1980 till 1987, the same back stamp was used on the whole series. Cup and Saucer shapes are the Montrose. This set belonged to my mother, she had these displayed in a glass cabinet from the time she got them. In 1964 the company was bought by the Lawley Group but continued making Bone China under the Royal Albert trade name. In 1974 the name was changed to Royal Albert Ltd.
