Over top of the colour coat was a metallic gold design depicting leafy vines winding around pointed, angular starbursts.Corning Glass Works began offering promotional items in 1953 – the Heinz Baking Dish was sold in grocery stores. Seasonal “decorator” casseroles were released in 1956 – and were so successful that items continued to be released using existing PYREX shapes but releasing limited edition patterns. These special release items often came with mounters, cradles, candle warmers … offered at opportune times – Mother’s Day, Wedding season, Holiday Seasons … over 135 different gift-set patterns were made over the years. These special release patterns and gift sets were unnamed – or named for their functionality or appearance by collectors. PYREX – Cinderella-Style Nesting Mixing-Bowls - 440 Series -440 SeriesCinderella-Style Nesting Mixing-Bowls were designed by John Philip Johnson and first released in the Gooseberry and Butterprint Patterns in 1957.Cinderella Nesting Mixing Bowls were sold in 3-bowl (441-3) and 4-bowl sets (441-4) – 441-Small, 1 ½ PT; 750 mls; 442-Medium, 1 ½ QT; 443-Large, 2 ½ QT; 2 ½ l; 444-Extra-Large, 4 QT. Back-stamps –The concentric circle format - began with a simple circle format (1915-ish) but as more information was provided it became concentric circle format of information, with imperial measurements. In the late 1970's the backstamp-wording was changed to a linear in a rectangular-box format – including metric measurements. Because in the early 1970s there were IMPERIAL Units on the base, in a concentric-circle format but by the late 1970s the Units were in METRIC, in a rectangular-box format - some Graphics Pattern pieces came with either Units if their run was during that transition period.SHIPPING - Currently and until further notice – I can ship from within the US – handling time of 20 business days - as I am located in Canada but can arrange with a shipper to originate once per month from within the US.
