Description: Up for sale is a vintage postcard marked"The Home vs. the Saloon Protect Us Vote No." Copyright, 1910, by National Woman's Christian Temperance Union. A wonderful patriotic image depicting young children with the US Flag in background; indicating the responsibility to the public to Vote No in order to save the children from the dangers of alcohol. A fine example of the Temperance and Prohibition campaign that began to take a national foothold throughout the United States in the 1910s. The postcard has some worn edges, discoloration, and staining. I have not cleaned this item aside from a light dust off. Light soiling, dust, old age toning, dents, paint loss could be present along with other minor wear consistent with age. Please view all the photos as the are intended to be part of the description and ask any questions you may have prior to bidding. I’m always willing to take additional photos or answered detailed questions. ***Please stay tuned for new auction listings every Sunday, fresh from local Maine estates. If you are interested in an item bid early as people often forget and miss out on items. I will not end listings early for any reason so please do not ask. The volume of items is too many to list but overall the areas covered are vintage toys, postcards, games, advertising related items, tins, dolls and other collectibles.***
