Description: Vintage Porcelain Pair Hand Painted Figurine Field Workers/ Farmers. Male and female figures hand painted and marked on the bottom with a capital N inside a C or incomplete circle. Research shows these two pickers holding baskets can range from the 1920s 50s or 60s. There is crazing more obvious to the eye on the bottom bases. There is loss of the cold painted black areas. I’m not finding chipping on close inspection but there are a few small rough areas when you rub fingertips over rose edges. The male figure stands approximately 8” tall x 3 1/2” wide elbow to elbow. The female stands approximately 7 1/2” tall x approximately 3 1/2” wide at the waist. Very vintage looking very kitschy. Great for farmhouse shabby chic. Antique decor Or welcoming spring sowing some seeds. Please note maker unknown. There is a researchable debate over this particular mark. I purchased this lovely pair a year ago part of a private collectors lot. BB
