Description: Original Vintage POPEYE Industrial Metal (Copper) Toy MakingMold! Offered for your consideration is this fine example of a vintage industrial doll head mold for the highly collectible & sought after Popeye toys! This is a RARE & HTF piece, and it is marked "King Features Syndicate" on the inside of the mold! I believe it to be made of copper, but it is quite heavy, so it may be bronze, however, I am no expert on this item. My research indicates that these molds were usually scrapped after a certain production run, making this a very unique find! This mold is approx. 5" tall, is quite aged and has beautiful patina covering it. My pictures are part of the description. The last picture is an example of the toys (50's era Gund Puppets) I had that the mold was most likely used for. Those toys have sold and are NOT part of this auction.Item will ship free in CONUS.
