Description: This vintage Plumb hatchet, made in the USA, is in good collectible/usable condition. It has the same shape and style as the boy scout hatchets, but it is not marked with the BSA logo. The head shows wear and sharpening, but no rust or grinding, and the edge is mostly smooth. It has the Permabond epoxy on the head (started about 1955), and it is tight on the handle. The handle is in very good condition, with just minor wear, and it is smooth. The butt looks like it originally may have had a red stain, which has worn off. The head is 4-3/4' long, with a 3" blade. The hatchet measures 14" long overall, and weighs 26 ounces. Please let the pics be your guide when bidding, as they are a major part of the description. Please email for more pics or information.
