Description: From a village in Peru my mother purchased this unique and beautifully woven Santa Clause head back in 1970 -54 years ago. A lot of work went into this ornanent- dying the straw with natural ingredients is just one example. What I’d completely forgotten about until I’d already put up this listing. I was packing it carefully with my other for sale items and I dropped it and just after I gasped in horror and then laughed because it’s just straw (no offense, Scarecrow) I heard a jingle, jingle, jingle and watched Santa’s straw head roll around. It’s not exactly a Christmas miracle, but it got me excited to rewrite this already too long, over written, simple item description. Lucky you! The head’s got bells inside its head! There. I said it. Bells!! CONDITION is excellent It has weathered many a holiday with our family and survived amazingly well. With one tiny exception; its loop of twine at the tip top, the very thing used to attach it onto the tree needs an easy repair or it’s also quite effective to send one end of a hook right through Santa's hat and call it a day. He really is in remarkable condition with his coloring still vibrant, his beard still wavy and his personality still exuding joy and peace….and bells! Measurung 5" tall x 3" wide and weighing no more than a whisper, this Santa is well suited for any part of the tree but I was always partial to right in the middle, at eye level, because he is so wonderfully distinct and appealing…and bells! Please adopt this Peruvian treasure and give this Santa head more Holidays and more Cheer! -and bells?
