Description: Here is a very interesting pair of bentwood bistro chairs that are unmarked except for a series of numbers on the frame. They are very similar to the 1970s Ikea Lena chair although these have caned seats and 3 back slats instead of 2. It's possible that these are a knockoff or maybe they were the original inspiration for the Lena which was designed by Erik Worts in 1969. I believe they are made of beech and were probably made in the 1950s-1970s time frame but hard to know for sure. The cane seats are still nice and intact which is a bit unusual on the old bistro chairs and the design remains a classic staple of the chic, bon vivant lifestyle. I will list the chairs as local pickup only but will be more than happy to facilitate shipping at the buyers expense through someone like uShip. Thanks for looking.
