Description: This estate find listing is for a vintage ornate silver trinket box that is in very good condition, except for the one hinge that is broken (see photo). The ornate design appears to be Victorian with three persons shown on the lid. The sides have extremely nice design along with the legs. We run a magnet test on the box, and no parts of the box were magnetic except for the hinge arrangement. The box weighs approximately 7.8 ounces and measures approximately 3-5/8" x 2-5/16" x 2-1/4" height. We don't have any age for this box, but it was my grandmother's trinket box, and she was born in 1909 and married in 1929. We're assuming she received this box sometime after her marriage; however, we can't confirm any of this information. This box does have a stamped bar on the bottom side of the box that says Japan.We do not detail clean our items, only wipe down and dust for photo-taking purposes.
