Description: Vintage Original Postcard Photo International Exotic Sultry Beauty Alida Valli. Miss Valli (1921-2006) was once referred to as the most beautiful woman in the world. She was a successful actress in America as well as in Italy, Britain, and France. She starred alongside Orson Welles, Fred MacMurray, Frank Sinatra, and Joseph Cotten. She often simply went by the name, Valli, because her agent thought it would add to her exotic allure. My grandmother and mother collected film star photos and autographs from their respective eras. I have silent movie star photos left from my grandmother, and film stars from the 1940s and 1950s left from my mom. My mom kept her collection in a scrapbook (and then removed them); and also numbered her photos in the order received. I try to note all signs of pasting, numbers, pinholes, etc. in the description. (The red ebay sign will not be imprinted on the photo; it is a security mark to prevent copying. This postcard is numbered with a 190 in the top right hand corner; no pinhole exists. The corners display minor wear. The reverse side shows my mom’s childhood address. It is a Vanguard Studio postcard. It is dated with a cancellation stamp of May 14, 1949.
