Description: This absolutely gorgeous tea cup and saucer is Japanese from Ohashi China in Nagoya. It is dated/numbered 1932. The pattern is Golden Fantasy and all that information is printed on bottom of the saucer. The tea cup is on a pedestal and the bottom half of the cup is burgundy with gold accents and lines on it. The top part is white iridescent and the interior is as well. It is beautiful and looks like mother of pearl. Very lovely. The outside edge is hand painted with beautiful pink and yellow (peach) roses. The handle is also painted gold. The saucer is reticulated and has that open work effect around the outer edge. This is also iridescent and painted with roses, accented with gold flourishes and rimmed in gold. The rim has a slight scalloped effect. The interior circle of the saucer is burgundy and has a beautiful gold star mandala like design. My mother in law used to collect beautiful tea cups from all over the world and my daughter and I were always amazed at many of these vintage designs as we were raised on mugs. LOL. This one surely was fit for her collection. It is stunning!! Happy Shopping!
