Description: I acquire and resell quite a few corbels, and while this one is classic and simple in design, it has an unusually large shelf surface, which is what attracted me to it. While only 6" in height, the shelf measures approx 9.5" x 9", allowing for easy display of a larger item. Constructed of solid oak, with no chips, cracks, etc. Slight finish wear from age, but nothing significant. It's possible the hardware securing the shelf to the wall bracket was replaced at sometime, but if so, it can't be seen while displayed, and the screws are recessed so as not to impede use of the shelf.
