Description: My parents owned a Collectibles and Toy store back in the 1990s. They had a wonderful assortment of collectible stuffed animals, but too many to keep now that they have retired. I will be listing quite a few items from their collection over the next few weeks so stay tuned if you are a collector of cute things! This piece is by a well-known contemporary folk art artist Nancy Thomas and is the THURSDAY plaque from her Days of the Week Series. The plaque features a darling little blue car with a proper gentleman driver and a smaller person in the back. A colonial house is in the background on a hill and the landscape is snowy. It has a cozy, folk art feel. This piece is incredibly well made with metal rims, hooks and welded pieces. It is signed in the lower right hand corner Nancy Thomas 1994. This particular piece is retired. The plaque is a print on a wood board that has been painted black on the back. It is framed with black metal pieces and has the signature metal embellishment in the center of the top. The figure is a bit like a wild head of hair! There is a hanging claw on the back and the original price sticker of $92 (from 1994!) It is in very nice vintage condition with one small scuff in the white paint at the bottom. Th top metal piece is rusted intentionally for a rustic appearance. Really cute piece to add to your winter time décor!Dimensions:10 1/8" x 10 1/8" 13 1/2" high to top of metal piece
