Description: Vintage Mid Century Modernist Table Clock Inlay Danish Modern Solid Wood 1950s WORKING Offering this boldly modernist 1950s artisan-made table clock with canted / slanted dial - in working order, recently converted (spring 2024) to a new battery-powered quartz movement. Danish Modern style, probably derived from Fritz Hansen / George Nelson late-1950s "stool seat" wall clock design, which was also a visual source for Austrian Carl Aubock's similarly styled desk clock. This clock is unmarked as to manufacture. This clock's hour markers vary in size (12, 3, 6 and 9 being larger) and are likely beech inlaid into the teak ground. Measures 8 inches in overall height x 7.5 inches width x 3 inches overall front-to-back. Runs silently and accurately on a single AA battery in a new Quartz movement with sweep second hand (battery not included due to shipping regulations).
