Description: Vintage Mid-Century Modern Abstract Bronze Female Torso Sculpture. Beautiful piece of art. This is a striking bronze statue of a female torso. It is mounted on marble. The torso is modeled in a beautiful pose of soft contours. This proportional sculpture is exceptional. The artist is a master in the study of anatomy. The piece is unsigned. (If anyone knows who the artist might be if you would kindly share your thought) The piece came out of a very large estate in Atlanta, where the entire interior was designed in 1990, by famed interior designer, John Saladino, although I don't know if he specified this piece. The clue that he most likely specified the piece is that the marble that it is mounted upon is identical to the marble that he specified which was used in the master bath area, which was extensive and specially imported for the project. There were two of these pieces in the estate which are by the same artist as the pieces are similar and again mounted on matching marble. That second piece is listed separately. Truly is a remarkable piece.H: 15" W: 7.75" Weight 20 lb. Note: There is a tiny chip on top edge of a corner on marble nothing serious but just to note.
