Description: This beautiful handmade shawl/wrap scarf is a vintage Mexican rebozo with traditional multicolor maroon/brown/black/ivory pattern. I was working in Mexico and purchased this rebozo in a family-run shop in the Yucatan. It is a generous 31 inches wide--though traditionally worn folded twice to a narrower dimension. It is a total of 90" long (the brown/black/ivory woven section is 72", the maroon and black boarder is 9" and the maroon and black fringe is 9"). The fabric is articela--super soft, luxurious and drapes beautifully. The rebozo is finished with a richly detailed woven band that gives way to a long fringe at the ends of the shawl. It is new and has been carefully stored since purchase. It is a stunning piece of weaving. Please see my pictures for details.
