Description: This is a scarce and sought-after British biscuit (cookie) tin made by McVities & Price. The lid features a full color illustration of a boy and his West Highland terrier fishing in a barrel. It's entitled "The Optimist." There are also lovely white and gold illustrations on the red sides of the box. The base is marked McVitie & Price Ltd. Edinburgh. The box measures 8.5" x 8.5" by 3.75" high. Vintage Condition: The top of the tin is a bit scratched up, although the art is still quite lovely. There's paint missing around the rim of the box where tape was originally. There's some corrosion to the surface on the inside of the tin. Please see photos for details.
