Description: Vintage Matchbox Stand Holder Tray M H Lamberton Scammell Manufactures Hanover? This vintage Match Stand/Matchbox Holder is topmarked with "M H" (on one side) my limited research has not uncovered identity. It looks very similar to logo of Manufactures Hanover Bank - MH could apply to so many others too. Matchbox stand has oval base with center matchbox holder with open sides. Piece is about 6 inches across; 4 inches wide and 4 inches high. Letters MH and trim stripes are gold color on white. Bottom is marked: _mberton (missing the La) S Logo Scammell. Gold trim is about 75% ; with worn spot on bowl lip and top edge of match holder.(see photos). This has NO cracks or crazing. Underneath inside lip has glazed over chip from time of manufacture. We have been collectors of Restaurant Ware smalls (mostly individual creamers and butter pats) for many years. We are selling our duplicates and items too large for our "keeper" collection.
