Description: This beautiful tureen was styled after an earlier Minton piece. My best information dates it in the 1970’s. It is hand painted and kiln fired to achieve the richly colored, high gloss effect. It is in very good condition— no chips or cracks. NOTE: there is an area on the duck’s bill that was the result of a bubble in the paint that burst in the kiln (see photo). ALSO NOTE: the lid does not fit snugly into the bowl. This may be because there was originally a liner designed to go inside; however, none of these still exist from what my research gleans. There is a mark impressed on the bottom which I could not identify.
