Description: This VERY RARE Madame Alexander doll was manufactured only from 1962-1963. 10" Icelandic Cissette, with blonde hair, curled flip, and bangs. Hard plastic head and adult female body, jointed at neck, shoulders, hips and knees. Feet shaped for high heels. Clothing is traditional Icelandic costume. She wears dangling Hoop earrings. White organdy blouse with lace neckline and 2 buttons. Red Taffeta skirt and matching vest. Vest has striping to match apron. Black taffeta apron with green, red and gold stripes. Large bow like head dressing is embroidered ribbon with flowing red and green flowing ribbons. Petticoat has tule at lower 1/3 and lace edge. White organdy panties have lace at leg openings. Black sandals have 1/2" heels, black elastic straps. Thigh high stockings. The costume is in excellent crispness and color. Marked on body "MME ALEXANDER" and "Madame Alexander, New York, All Rights Reserved" on costume ribbon tag. Gold wrist tag printed "Iceland" on one side and "by Madame Alexander" on the other. Look on the internet for auctioned dolls to see selling prices. This comes from a smoke free home. Look closely at images to see all details described. Metal doll stand included. On Nov-01-24 at 12:09:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I purchased a new pair of stockings for the Cissette doll and posted the additional images. They are a perfect replacement. You can see the elastic needs snugging on the shoes to make a tighter fit. I'm sure someone can fix that.
