Vintage “Le Spose Di Gio” Designer Pre-owned Wedding dress, Italy

Description: Ivory/Cream made to measure US size 4/6 UK 8/10 Eur 38/40 designer “Le Spose Di Gio” (the brides of Georgio) purchased in Monza (near Milan) Italy. Dress has been featured in movies. Worn once and has a hole under the front of each armpit which can be repaired. Made from 100% silk organza (100% seta) travelled from England all the way to Monza near Milan to get the dress. Simple boatneck / baroque reminiscent of Duchess Meghan Markle’s dress. Simple and classic. Ivory with fluted sleeves and train. 33 silk organza buttons down the back of the dress. Silk organza can be pulled down to reveal a silk bodice underneath which has a zip. I actually saw the dress modeled with the organza overlay pulled down and tied in a bow at the back of the dress to reveal the strapless zipped bodice. Dress is in good condition, no marks on dress itself, at the back of the dress on the edge under the hem fabric is a little darker from where dress was on the floor - cannot be seen though. Dress all one piece to put on. The fluted sleeves are long and come part way over the hands. Underneath of the dress has some give and stretch to it. The silk organza overlay doesn’t stretch. As you can see from the photos there are 2 holes underneath the armpits which would need to be repaired as they are not on the seam. Chest 33-34” Waist 26-27” The waist is a drop waist and sits more on the hips. Drop waist measurement to floor 38”. I am 5ft 4” and wore 2.5 inch heels. The back of the dress has a train which is gorgeous. Dress has original box and packaging and tissue paper all the way from the catwalk in Monza / Milan Italy. It has been professionally dry cleaned but has been put back away so is a little creased and of course needs steaming and under the arms at the front of the dress need repairing. Underneath silk of dress thick and substantial - silk organza overlay very delicate so would need a professional seamstress to repair quarter coin size holes under the front of the armpits.
