The fan is bamboo with a beautiful hand painting of 2 blue colored birds on branches looking at each other and lots of flowers. There is also some oriental writing on one side, of course I don't have any idea what it says. The edges of the bamboo are brown which boarders this wonderful painting. This fan folds open and shut perfectly. There are small loops on the back for hanging. The back is blank. The price tag hanging on the fan is from many years ago and that sale price was $62.
