Approx. size 7. The stone is approx. .25 inches tall, .5 in. wide. Marked 925 sterling silver setting/band. The opal has an almost lavender/blue-ish background, with beautiful striped flashes of red, blue, and green iridescence. Based on the quality of his jewelry collection, the smoothness of the stone, and the quality of flashing, I believe this is a genuine opal. Condition: excellent vintage condition.
