Description: These boots were hand made by Josef Klocker of Austria, and purchased from Yvon Chouinard in 1969. They are a very innovative design, where the width of the sole is slightly smaller than the width of the footwell of the boot in order for the boot to perform extremely well on small foot holds. In order to make this welt-less boot, Klocker used wooden pegs to glue the sole to the bottom of the boots. The boots are in excellent condition. There is no mold or mildew on the boots, and they could be used for climbing. They are size 12.5 US.
