Description: Meier & Frank was a department store based out of Portland Oregon some time ago and really it was the destination shopping spot for us even though we were hours away - then again that was when that ice cream shop Frazzini's (or something like that) was near there. This is a large plate just under 11 inches across, that they sold and was made in England by Johnson Brothers. Very attractive red design with Oregon City, the way it was, in the center, Lewis and Clark, Bonneville Dam, the Celilo Indians and a few other scenes around the edge including the river steamer Lot Whitcomb who if my history is correct founded one of the towns around Portland. I would guess late 1950s which could have been the Centennial for either the state or the department store. It's in very nice shape. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows. The high bidder is to pay for shipping, we're in the Northwest so the further you are away the more it could cost, sorry, the postage rates have been high. We can send this UPS, but you'll have to wait a little longer as we have to go out of town to get to the nearest UPS place so we prefer USPS parcel post. We will combine auctions to save on shipping.
