Description: Vintage, Jean Paul Gaultier, Fragile Eau de Parfum, 25 ML or .84 FL – New in Box Click images to enlarge Description Up for auction is a vintage, Jean Paul Gaultier, Fragile. This is a snow globe like presentation in the original box. It is an Eau de Parfum or EDP. It is sized as 25 ML or .84 FL. Due to the age, there has been some evaporation to the presentation even though it has been stored in a dark closet. This fragrance was introduced in 1999 and is considered a Floral. Gaultier has been described as the “enfant terrible” of the fashion and fragrance industry. This man never attended a design school, but worked for several famous designers like Cardin and Patou in his early life before he broke out to become a designer. The condition of the cardboard box, with lift off lid and all sides able to come down are in very good condition. The font on the box is great. The interior of the box has some gold coloration. There is a plastic insert on top of the Fragile, to help keep the bottle in place. The underside of this plastic is a faux velvet, probably so it does not scratch the globe glass. The bottle also sits in a similar plastic material with a black faux velvet. The glass globe contains the perfume, that covers in the center, a voluptuous woman in a black strapless ball gown. There is some evaporation of the EDP, which stops underneath the woman’s bosom. The base for the globe is a brass edging. This is also where in the center of the brass the parfum comes out. When you turn the globe upside down, you see the base with directions on how to turn the spray on. On the left side is a brass lever that will probably push up which must allow you to spray the parfum. I moved it back so it would not spray. I have not tried to use this. If it is like most new atomizers, you may need to pump several times before it will spray. (You probably press a black depressed circle in the center of the underside.) Due to the age, the fragrance is not guaranteed, and its longevity will not be like a new bottle off the shelf. Included is a brochure in several languages and pictures which provides instructions on how to spray the parfum. There is a little dot of something on the front of the brochure. Included is wire which holds the box together. Also, one of the corner flaps has been re-glued, see last photo. The height of the bottle is: about 2 ½ inches tall.
