Description: This was under my Christmas tree when I was about 4 years old. I am 75 years old. This has been stored in a heated dry room for over 50 years. Considering the fragility of these and the age I would consider this in excellent condition. I have over 25 of these and I remember the ones with the glass bead rooftops were the oldest. Marked 19 cents on the bottom. These were usually 5 cents for the cheaper ones so I imagine they got a premium for the glass bead trim. This was made post WW2 as part of Japan's economy restoration. Because of Occupied Japan rules they were only permitted to manufacture "Jap-Junk". That's what all of these cheaper goods were called when I was a boy. Of course that was not true. The Japanese were some of the most talented crafts people in the world.
