Chalk line tool does work, but due to age and unknown history, unknown how far it pulls out or if the line may break at some point. There is chalk in the unit, string extracts and retracts smoothly. Reel handle operates smoothly. Some marks/scratches on item. Chalk residue on string, unit, and reservoir.
