Description: Vintage Irish Bud Vase White Gilt Shamrock Carrigcraft Carrigaline County Cork This is a vintage bud vase, made in Ireland I think in the 1980s. It has gilt rims and hand-painted shamrocks around the base. It is in great condition, with no cracks, chips, or scratches. It measures 3 inches high (7.62 cm) and 1.75 inches (4.44 cm) across the top, and weighs about 3 ounces (85 grams). It is marked “Carrigcraft Carrigaline County Cork Ireland” on the bottom and would make a lovely item for anyone who collects Irish ceramics. Carrigaline is a town and civil parish in County Cork, Ireland, situated on the River Owenabue. Carrigaline grew rapidly in the late 20th Century, from a village of a few hundred people into a thriving commuter town although some locals still refer to it as “the village.” For many years it was the home of Carrigaline Pottery.
