Description: This exceptional illustrated page depicting the Raggle Taggle Bear being chased by foxes while children look on was taken from the 1929 book, Raggle Taggle Bear. The illustrator was Louis Moe. The text was translated from George Kalke by Anna Reque and made into verse by Frank Ernest Hall. Louis Moe was a Norwegian-Danish painter and writer. He was one of Scandinavia's most important book illustrators before World War 1. His picture stories with text can be seen as precursors of comics, and he has been called the Walt Disney of Denmark. The illustration is custom matted in light blue with a black core and is ready for an 11x14 frame. All materials are acid free. The illustration is original to this edition and is not a copy.
