Description: Beautiful IE&C Co. Roses/carnation coffee pot Lovely gold guilding. It's believed to be from the 1920s. No chips or gouges.Slight wear around the top of the spout. It's hand painted and you can really see the variation as it isn't a pattern. Some staining at the bottom(inside) of the chocolate pot is present. Overall a really wonderful example of early century artisanship.The research I've found says IE&C Co. was a person(s) from England who went to Japan to seek out the finest artisans to hand paint these pieces as they couldn't get enough of Nippon china. (Hence the wreath around their logo) It's a difficult company to find info on. It measures 8 " tall
