Description: Lovely vintage hand-painted porcelain dresser box. Piece is approx. 6" long, 2.5" wide, 2" high, decorated with hand-painted roses in shades of pink, and trimmed in cobalt blue and gold. Box was made by the IE&C Co in Japan between 1921-1941, and is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or crazing. It does show worn spots to the glaze on the inside rim & lid consistent with the age of the item. It also has a small chip on the base at the backstamp, and the lid was slightly warped in the firing process and doesn't sit firmly on the base (see photos).The items we sell are not new, and have lived previous lives.
