PLEASE: Compare your measurements to the following (from your best fitting slacks, not jeans...these do not stretch and the waistband has NO give)! Don't go by the size on the label! I have given several different measurements to insure the proper fit (not just waist and inseam). If you measure yourself, measure your waist where you normally wear your slacks, keeping one finger between you and the tape measure. All returns will be at your own expense...that means I DON'T PAY FOR, OR REFUND, ANY SHIPPING. When in doubt, buy the next size up. Remember that these slacks come unhemmed. SIZE 34 MEASUREMENTS with slacks laying flat: WAIST (Waistband): 33 - 34 inches (That's 16 1/2 - 17 inches across the waistband when slacks are laying flat. There's a 1 inch seam allowance for alterations up to 2 inches.) RISE (crotch seam to the top of the waistband..that's above the button): 13 inches INSEAM (crotch to the bottom of pant leg): 40 inches UNHEMMED! Description Of Our Hunting World Slacks: The Hunting World pair of slacks you are considering is KHAKI. The last photo of slacks shows khaki and brown together for comparison...khaki is on the right. The slacks have top-opening front pockets, two back buttoned pockets, hand sewn buttons, and seven 2" belt loops. The slacks are unhemmed, ready for your tailor to fit them to your personal length. The fabric has a great feel to it, soft yet crisp...100% cotton (gabardine). The tag says "Dry Clean" but we have washed ours in cold water/hung to dry and they have not shrunk. It also says "Re-Proof if Required"...I would assume that waterproofing washes out, so keep that in mind. Some are marked "Made in China" and some are marked "Made in USA". I do not open the sealed package to see which is which. The quality is identical. These Hunting World safari pants are new old stock, probably late 1980's/ early 1990's...mint in bag!!! Hunting World quit making safari clothing some time ago. They continue to make some clothing, jackets, luxury bags, etc., and were a high-end shop on Greene Street in New York City from the 1970's until they closed their doors in March 2008. I believe these slacks to be from the late 1980's to the early 1990's for several reasons: (1) The plastic bag with the Hunting World logo has a triangular recycling symbol on it and I believe these symbols came in to being in 1988. (2) When contacting the distribution center in Maine, whose address was on the original box containing these slacks, I was told they had not shipped Hunting World clothing in at least 15 years. I am still looking for Hunting World catalogs from the 1980's and 90's as I am not sure about the retail price of these slacks, but in a 1975 catalog slacks were listed at $85! All the information I have included here is through my own research. The one thing I do know is that these are new old stock, and that Hunting World does not make safari slacks and jackets anymore. *****Any questions???? Please ask them before buying.
